angel fell in the canal on a walk over xmas , she went under the ice and conor had to take his boot off break the ice and pull her out, she was ok not hurt or anything, poor angel she has a huge fear of water, this is because she got stung by a wasp last summer and jumped into the canal to get away from it but went into shock and couldnt swim even so had to pull her out that time as well
any ideas how we could try and conquer this fear

Angel is a great dog, shes realy easy to train too. Her weakness is food, so if you threw some food in the water in the warmer weather, Im sure she would automaticly not even thin of the water. Just food omm yumm mmm lol! Im glad Conor was there to get her out of the Canal, poor dog.

wait till the summer and take her to the beach, start her in the shallow part and let her build back up her confidence, im not a big lover of canals myself some dogs dont like them ether due to having to jump in and some time they can panic if they cant get back out, maybe the beach would be better as she can just walk in and out as she pleases.
