*IPBTA ACES LEAGUE*
I am trying to organise a league to run over the summer months which will conclude in early Sept. The league will cover all events with winners in each activity 1st 2nd and 3rd and also an overall IPBTA 2011 League winner. the points system will be as follows.....
10 places in each discipline will be awarded points
1st 20 points
2nd 18
3rd 16

10th 2
Depending on how many dogs are entered in each discipline there will be points added to scores e.g
If a dog competes in the Lure racing and wins and the entries for that event are 20 his points will be 20+20=40 and 2nd place will get 18+20 and so on. As you will see the more dogs your up against the more points you will earn. There will be attendance points (2) for all dogs participating in all events and will go towards the IPBTA championship event we hope to run in Sept. To be eligible to compete in Championship show all dogs must have competed in 4 training shows (8 points).
The prizes will be awarded to the top 3 dogs in each event. There will be a perpetual cup for the overall winner of the league. This will be determined by all points being added together from all events and disciplines. In the result of a tie for the overall winner of the league the dogs in joint positions will go heads up on the last day of league in 3 of the events planned for that day e.g if lure racing, speed pull, a frame and long jump has been run on that day then the dogs will have to run the activities again and its will be down to the best 2 out of three. All participating owners in heads up will have to agree which 3 of the four events are to be run again, if owners cannot agree then a draw will be made to determine which 3 activities will be used.
Amendment 1. To prevent a tie in any of the heats leading up to the final it has been decided that any dogs that are equal in Lure, Aframe, S. Pull or L. Jump will have a re-run in the partiular event to determine places.
NB I am trying my best to make sure all scores and points are accurate but I know it is possible that I could make a mistake. If anyone has any queries or objections to any points please drop me a PM rather than it all turning into a major discussion in the thread and I will get it sorted A.S.A.P. I am really looking forward to watching all these dogs improve and reaching the point when we have our first ACES IRISH Champion.
I hope this is fairly easy to understand and I also hope I have left nothing out and it all runs smoothly. This is a new venture for IPBTA and is bound to have a few creases that need ironing out. It is hard to anticipate any complications that might arise over the next couple of months regarding the running of the league as it is our first year, but please be patient as I want this to be fair for all and hopefully be an event in the IPBTA calander to look forward to every year
Well its all over our league has finally drawn to an end. Here are all the results for overall league winner and individual event winners.

Re: *IPBTA ACES LEAGUE*
Terry .... We had a ball today .... Excellent turnout too !!!
The weather was excellent , the dogs were all looked after and cared for .. Was great to see some new faces too ... And more to be coming next week aswell ... Yez better watch out .. IPBTA is trundling alone nicely at the moment and theres some excellent performers too ...
Think today we had 28 dogs all doing 3 events each which was great ... And were giving some excellent times and numbers as a result ..
Hope all is going well across the water ..
Ross :)
Cant wait to meet you guys ..

Re: *IPBTA ACES LEAGUE*
23 dogs did the Lure racing, I think some might have missed it tho
Well done to Cali for winning the lure racing (by 10.3 to 10.47 lol) also to Hank for the best result on the A-frame, think he got 28. Oh and Butch aswell with his 11ft on the long jump, I think Jenny might have got the same too.
But apart from the winners there was loads of good results, like Gemma on the A-frame, Brock on the lure (got 11.0) and there was loads of other results that were very surprising and a great improvement on previous days.
It was a really great day, enjoyed all of it

Re: *IPBTA ACES LEAGUE*
Just worked out the speed of the dogs on the lure:
Dog X does the 100m in 10seconds
= 10m/second
= 600m/min
= 3,600m/hour
= 36km/hour or approx 22mph
Now for ya pretty feckin' fast lol

Re: *IPBTA ACES LEAGUE*
League table updated......... see how things can all change from week to week. Because of tied places there was alot of points on offer this week and the more entered for each event the more points. Max points that could be gained this week was 110. Well done Jenny, did well in all events and got a total of 102 on the day
