man i cant wait to see our dogs do this, should be really good buz...

I could watch this all day imagine our dogs running around a track like that. I might even bring my bullies to it. Lol.

thats the good thing about it all breeds could go into it, even boyner's cinday so we could see if the other breeds would have a chance with all the turns etc, it would be interesting to watch.

The set up they are useing is a continuous loop set up and can be dangerous as if the dogs stand on the line it can take off toes and feet.

I was wondering how they got the lure to go around bends and then I was thinking of poor Boyners lads having to bring the lure all the way back through the course for the next dog lol, deadly though,I'd say Molly would be in her element doing this :)

yeah and the speed some of the dogs here do, they would be to fast for the bends , it looks like fun , but just for dogs that prance over things lol ruby crash at the first bend lol

When dogs chase prey the prey wont just move in a straight line, a hair will change direction to shake off the dog and the dog will change direction with it, whippets and lurcher's change direction like a wasp in a jar when there coursing and there allot quicker that our dogs so you'll be surprised at what we could do with them on a course like this.

Pit bulls are not like Lurchers but Ruby would bring that equipment with her through the fence lol
now i,ve never seen a pit bull do it so i,m just giveing my opinion thats all x

your not being a kill joy rachel your being realistic. and your right to be concerned for your dogs saftey their are dogs here who dont care whats in front of them they just want that lure look at hank he smashes through every single hurdle when he does it imagine the damage that could be done and im not talkin about the equipment.
The insurance might come in handy after all. LOL

We have done loads of simulated coursing and have had dogs that have beaten greyhounds not because the are farster but as the are slower they can get round the bends with out going wide.Once the know where the luer is going to stop the will often find a short cut ie over or through the fence.I have a dog that i can let over take the luer and waight bu the mat for it to comein. Also most coursing is done in open spaces with out obsticels.

IPBTA has in place public liability insurance dogs are not covered for any injury's sustains during any activity's, regarding comments made about dogs sustaining injury's and a possibility of being eligible for compensation im affraid you enter IPBTA events at your own risk just like any other clubs.

Now in relation to the safety end of things, we have from the start of our days always made dogs safety our number one priority, the video put up is a simple sample of what we have in mind for next year, and let us assure you that any equipment used in any of our activity's were the dog is running or jumping over is designed to minimize injury if a dog is to crash into it.

Lilly the insurance remark was a JOKE thats why there is a LOL after it.

I know that James the info was just to let people know what cover we have and to assure those that are worried that we do all we can to protect their dogs when working.
