hi lilm it would be like winning the lotto to get a pit insured in ireland and in most places,
them seem to think the breed is a liability affraid when in fact their the breeds that you are less likely to be attacked by.

There is a compny that insures American Staff's that is probably as close as he is going to get, let's just hope they don't want verication of the breed, well let's face it Amstaff's & Pits are the same breed Exclamation

its a disgrace that we cant protect our dogs with insurance because of what they are called, and what people have heard & seen because of stupid idiots Evil or Very Mad
A Jack Rusell And A Pitbull Are The Same Species They Are Both Dogs & They Both Decended From Wolfs. They Can Both Do The Same Things! There Might Be A Differnce In The Height & Looks But Deep Inside They Are Wolfs! They Both Have Have THe Tendency To Bite!

I'm pretty sure LilM if you get insured any previous health probs wont be covered. I kno 'cause my dog broke her leg and we asked abou getn insurance after and it said her back left quarter wouldn't be covered Sad

we have our pit bull insured with petinsure.ie - they're based in Cork. We had no problems with them and our premium costs 14.58EUR a month. Once you follow the recommendations of the dog control act your policy is valid.
