Importance of Crate Training Empty Importance of Crate Training

Post by Mike7 Fri Feb 04, 2011 6:58 pm

It is important to allow a new puppy to have his own space. This is achieved by crate training. Some people feel that it is cruel, but I strongly disagree. When the puppy needs a rest from children ...simply use a crate. Everyone is safe. Always make sure fresh water is available, as in this case. A dry biscuit is also good for the teeth in young'uns.

hahaha love it lol!

yeah i have to agree with you crates can be fantastic for all the reasons you mentioned and also for coming along to events, im sure with the dogs being use to them they would feel at home in them and can give the owner a chance to mingle etc, dogs can relax when used to them and feel comfortable where ever they go its like being at home, good post mike thanks Wink

Great photo Mike, i strongly agree with your trainning methods too. Its true, dogs do need a break from especially young children, poken and prodding at them.

I never used a crate myself, did not really need to. Would of been handy though when he was a pup would of stopped him chewing the floor back then lol
