Track Mill
I saw this on the ACES Forum, thought it was very interesting, what do you guys think?

I think if you peddled it the whole time you'd be fitter than the dog lol, I'm not sure how it works

See the first bitch is getting lazy and waiting for it come back to her. If I figure out how it works I'll talk to my dad about making one up out of my old bike maybe

Re: Track Mill
that looks like a great way to get your dogs going all out. you cant use an electric mill to that effect. A slat mill is better than an electric mill for that type of running but in my opinion walking/running/bycyling/swimming are better, just not as convenient. That contraption is kool if you have the yard space. :-) The dogs look like they are having a great time. :-)

Re: Track Mill
I posted it elsewhere and the main response was that a smart dog would likely wait for it and jump when it goes past again
Do you have a Slat Mill PJ?

Re: Track Mill
An ingenious yet simple set up, its true if we had the space it would be great. The dogs are just focused on the lure, it open their lungs right up and build up their stamina. Without the possibility of them getting hurt. The slat mills can be very noisey but a good way too, to keep your dog in shape

Re: Track Mill
Hank would keep chasing that although he would be intelligent enough to know if he waits it will come. He cant resist a chase........As I said earlier if it moves then he will chase it lol

Re: Track Mill
I think if you stopped it then they'd run towards it again.

Re: Track Mill
yeah i reckon thats how you would get the dog back running, if the dog stops then stop the lure and as soon as he moves get it going again.
