As the I.K.C. was the first dog Club to organise trials and shows about this exciting sport in the British Isles in the late mid 1980's, we're following it's progress, now, in it's present day form.

WITH THAT IN MIND, let's examine different methods in the process;

1/ the basic rule of the I.K.C. approach, is allowing an owner to use a lure to activate the dog to drag the cart forward towards the finish line .. in our case, a pull distance is of 30 feet; on tracks or a flat surface ...
... we do other trials of strength, agility, and power-building pursuits as well; which we can go into in due course, for those interested in ultra healthy * 'performance' dogs .

2/ OTHERS use command; encouraging the dog by voice-control, only; which we have no problem with, as we allow either a lure or command, it's up to the owners to decide which method suits their dogs best ! .. like people, different dogs react differently from others, going about the job in a way that suits them ... and thereby bringing home the bacon ! It's worth mentioning that the others, generally, have the distance of 15 feet to do their pulling, from start to finish ...

... to be continued ...
