History of imported pitts
I live in the U.S. and have traced my dog lineage back to 1812 when his ancestors were imported from Ireland, didn't know if there would be any way for me to trace the lineage further back for the pedigree ends with unknown when I select the imported dogs are there any records out there that I could search through. Any information would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

The breeders that imported the dogs from there were John PH Colby, William Lightner and Johnny Mc Donald.

not sure they werer't dated honestly up till recently I've never really got "into" pittbull history, I've just always loved pits i was raised with them my family bred them I never really gave much thought to their history before...I'm glad I did though cuz its really interesting and researchingthe history gives me something more constructive to do while i'm online lol

I love Pitbulls, they where very secretive here in the 70's n 80's. Today theres an epidemic of bakyard breeders
