responsible pit bull breeding

i hear all to often the line" im a pit bull breeder" and when i ask the most simplest questions the breeder doesn't have the answer. id like to know what your thought would be on breeding and what you think is involved in being a responsible breeder??

A reputable breeder wouldnt just sell to any person. They would do a back ground check of the potential new owners. They carfully select the most suitable dogs for breeding and make sure they are in good health. They would get them neuterd or spayed, and breeders would need breeders rites to breed that particular dog. If anything happend and the new owner couldnt take care of the dog/s, the breeders would take them into their care until they found a suitable home.

Well I will be breeding my 2dogs but I have/will be doing all of these things:

- Purchase dogs from hip-scored parents

- Purchase dogs from eye tested parents

- Get my own dogs Hip/Eye tested

- Registerd with IKC (Not available for ye)

- Spay/Neuter and terms of ownership contracts with each owner.

And some other things aswell, can't remember them all. :D

Also I have a proper purpose built shed 20' x 10' for the dogs, similar to boarding kennels, so not being bred in the utility room or spare bedroom. lol
